Drop whatever you are doing, pick up a book, and read for 20 minutes. Get caught reading! Photographers in the schools and around town will take pictures for our website and newspapers. Email us your pictures at info@SandwichReadsTogether.org. See pictures from DEAR Day! |

Trip to the Boston Public Library Medieval Manuscript and Rare Book Room
Feb. 19, 9:30am - 7:30pm.
Join us for a day trip to the Boston Public Library for a guided tour, plus lunch at Novel, the library’s restaurant. $20 fee covers bus trip – participants will pay for their own lunch. Register at the library's Reference Desk, or call the library at 508-888-0625. |

Multicultural Dining in Sandwich at The Bee-Hive Tavern and the Dan'l Webster
Enjoy special menu selections from countries represented in People of the Book and Erika-San. The Bee-Hive Tavern (508-833-1184) in January and February will offer selections from Japan, Morocco, Spain, Italy, and Austria. The Dan'l Webster Inn (508-888-3622) will offer Moroccan specialties in January and Japanese specialties in February. This would make a wonder Book Club Meeting idea! |

Sandwich Reads 2009 Closing Celebration for Everybody!
Mar. 14, 1:00pm - Sandwich Public Library.
Celebrate the end of eight great weeks of community reading! Native American Storytelling with Zoe Harris, Kamishibai Story with Mr. Parsons, and International Folk Dancing with Marilyn Weissman. Enjoy a pot-luck meal inspired by Norah Dooley’s Everybody Cooks Rice, Everybody Brings Noodles and Everybody Serves Soup.
